From day one, we've made it our mission to be a sustainable production company, committed not only to creative excellence but also to environmental responsibility, ethical practices, and community-minded filmmaking. Our approach is rooted in the belief that the future of film and television depends on how we treat the world around us—on and off screen.

We are actively working to reduce the environmental impact of our productions through the following core principles:

• Carbon Consciousness: We measure and track our carbon footprint on every project and take concrete steps to minimise it—from travel and transport to lighting and location management.

• Waste Reduction: We aim for zero-waste sets, using reusable, recyclable or compostable materials wherever possible.

• Green Energy: Whenever possible, we power our sets and offices with renewable energy sources.

• Sustainable Sourcing: We prioritise local suppliers and eco-friendly materials for props, sets, and costumes.

Karoo Sky is proud to align with leading sustainability organisations in the film and TV industry. We are currently working toward certification through BAFTA’s albert programme, the UK’s leading environmental authority in film and television. Through albert, we will:

• Submit a Carbon Action Plan for each production.

• Implement industry-leading best practices.

• Display the albert certification logo on eligible productions, assuring our audiences and partners of our sustainable values.

We also support initiatives such as Green Film, EcoProd, and Sustainable Film Ltd, ensuring that we remain up-to-date with the most impactful global sustainability standards.
